There’s a new energy lighting up Friday nights in North London. Born from the heart of Rakkas and powered by the soul of classic Turkish meyhane culture, we proudly introduce Rakkas’la a celebration of music, food, and community that’s as nostalgic as it is fresh.
Taking inspiration from Sezen Aksu’s iconic lyric “Rakkas geldi meydana”, these nights are rooted in the sounds that raised us live acoustic sets that honour the spirit of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. From timeless Turkish ballads to retrending classics, our artists don’t just perform they connect. No backing tracks, no frills. Just vocals, instruments, and raw emotion.
Whether you grew up on these songs or just discovered them, Turkish Night at Rakkas’la is where generations meet. It’s where North London meets Istanbul. It’s where stories are shared, and memories get made over rakı and warm plates.
